Acetylene plant in India. In order to manufacture and supply the
best products, the organisation had made technical collaboration
with many multinationals around the world. Since its inception, it
has played a vital role in its sphere of operation. It is driven by
technology and the determination to excel in all activities. Its
mission is directed towards providing the customer superior value
and ensuring the success of employees, vendors and business
partners. The organisation also follow the axioms of total quality
and continuous improvement in product features and processes.
Products Range
Nitrogen Plants /
Oxygen Plant
The oxygen plant and nitrogen plant are safe
and economical & operate with an expansion engine which lowers
the operating pressure upto 30-40 kg/cm, lowers the power
consumption and is trouble free. The oxygen and nitrogen plant
mainly consists of AIR COMPRESSOR (Ingersol Rand) Molecular sieve
battery for removal of acetylene and hydrocarbons from the process
air and eleminating the use of caustic soda and cost saving as there
is no need of any recurring cost of chemicals. The production plant
can produce both OXYGEN & NITROGEN simultaneously and the plant
BDM models have a Built-in internal compression liquid oxygen pump
to fill bone dry high pressure oxygen upto 165 kg/cm in
cylinders.

Silent Features of Nitrogen Plant
- Very simple to operate
- No raw material is required
- Trouble free operation for
years (German design)
- Easy availability of spare
parts
- Low power consumption
- Production of oxygen &
nitrogen simultaneously without use of bulky gas holders.
- Latest molecular sieve
technology without recurring cost of chemicals
- Oxygen and Nitrogen Plants
also in stainless steel column.
Process
Description of BDM Oxygen and Nitrogen Plant
The free
atmospheric air is sucked in the oxygen/nitrogen plants by a
multi-stage air compressor through a filter and compressed to the
working pressure. After each stage, intermediate coolers and water
separators are provided. The compressed air then passed through the
evaporation pre-cooler and then to the molecular sieve battery where
the moisture and carbon di-oxide are removed from the process air.
It then passes through the heat exchanger No.1 where it is cooled by
the out-going waste nitrogen and product oxygen produced in the
oxygen plants.
A part of this cold air then flows through an
expansion machine and the balance through the 2nd heat exchanger.
The ratio of the two air streams is controlled by an expansion
valve, RI. Both these streams of air then unite in the medium
pressure column where it partially liquefies.
The liquid air
(rich liquid) then passes through the expansion valve R2 to upper
column which is at lower pressure then the medium pressure column.
Similarly the liquid nitrogen (poor liquid) travels from the medium
pressure column to the upper column through an expansion valve R3
where the separation of oxygen and nitrogen occurs. Nitrogen being
more volatile passes out as a gas from the top of the column and
this waste nitrogen flows through both the heat exchangers cooling
the in-coming air. Similarly the product oxygen is also passed
through the two heat exchangers to cool the incoming air and then to
the filling manifold via a liquid pump. If a small amount of air is
vented out from the upper column, higher purity nitrogen can also be
obtained firm this plant.R4 valve is provided in order to fasten
cooling during start-up after defrost.
Acetylene
Plants
Features
of Acetylene Plants
Acetylene (C2H2), a compound of
carbon and hydrogen, is a colorless, highly flammable gas. It is
slightly lighter than air and has a garlic-like odor. Acetylene is
stored in high pressure cylinders filled with a porous material and
containing acetone, into which the acetylene is dissolved. Unless
dissolved in a solvent, acetylene will dissociate at pressures above
15 psig and form lamp black and hydrogen. Heat is generated with
dissociation, which in turn, produces a danger of
explosion.
Acetylene is manufactured by the reaction of water
with calcium carbide. It is also manufactured by thermal cracking of
hydrocarbons, or by partial combustion of methane and
oxygen.
Acetylene has become increasingly prominent as a raw
material for a whole series of organic compounds, among them
acetaldehyde, acetic gas, and acetic anhydride. The remaining 20% of
the acetylene production is principally used for oxy-acetylene
cutting, heat treating, and welding.
Our BDM acetylene plant
is highly versatile and designed and manufactured by experienced and
qualified Engineers. All the parts are made with the best materials
as per drawings with complete inspection and quality
control.
The Acelytene plant is highly safe and dependable
and is FULLY AUTOMATIC and are available in models BDM 45 & BDM
100 in sizes of 45 & 100 m/hr. All the operations are automatic
and performed by imported pneumatically controlled valves assisted
by highly sensitive senssors alongwith the temperature controlled
instruments. The entire plant is designed with utmost safety in mind
alongwith flash back arrestors, High pressure reverse flow check
valves and complete help to protect both the equipements and the
operators.
